The Brownells QD-360-ID is a fluorescent yellow-green banner that identifies a non-uniformed officer during emergency situations. The identification banner stows inconspicuously and conveniently in a compact belt pouch that looks like a cell phone carrier and is easily deployed using the non-shooting hand. The reflective edge binding further enhances visibility. Depending on agency needs, “Police,” “Sheriff,” “Security,” or “CCW” appears in large, reflective block letters on both the front and back side for 360° visibility. QD-360-ID was designed by police SWAT Sergeant, Mike Lessman, who has spent 20+ years studying critical incidents and training law enforcement personnel on response procedures and handling incident aftermath. This high-visibility emergency identification product helps prevent tragic friendly fire or ‘blue-on-blue’ incidents. It also allows officers to quickly identify themselves in situations, where badges may not be highly visible such as inclement weather.
The QD-360-ID is the first identification system designed to aide non-uniformed, off-duty law enforcement and security officers in identifying themselves to other law enforcement personnel during emergency situations. It can prevent tragic friendly fire or ‘blue-on-blue’ incidents and also allow for quick identification during inclement weather where visibility is limited. Specifically designed with the officer in mind, it’s easy to add to a duty belt making it convenient for quick deployment if necessary.
